Tena Project

This project is for people that likes adventures , helping others and don’t care about getting dirty . The farm is located n the community of Shandia about 20 kilometers from Tena. From Tena to The Community Shandia must travel by bus for 40 minutes. From the Shandia Community it is necessary to walk about 15 minutes into the jungle where the cabins are.

Required skills
• Volunteer does not need work experience but must be open to learning about new cultures and traditions.

• Must have maturity, ability to coexist and adapt to teamwork.
• It must be clear that helping is a commitment that is born from the heart and is not an obligation.
• The volunteer must be willing to work in any environment and adapt to weather conditions.

Volunteers will help with:
➣ Helping to Reforest the area.
➣ Performing maintenance of cabins.
➣ Growing plants and vegetables for food.
➣ Visiting the nearby schools and helping children with homework and other activities.
➣ Once a week the children visit the farm to learn about plants and care for the environment.

Accommodation: Basic cabin (Kitchen, latrine as bathroom, to shower there are very clear and clean rivers nearby)
Meals: 3 daily meals (menu of the day).
Volunteer Duration: Minimum 2 weeks.
Spanish classes: Minimum 40 hours of Spanish classes.
