All our personal data is stored on a secure hard drive and backed up regularly on to a separate hard drive in a secure location. Accounts information is stored on our secure hard disk and backed up on to Dropbox. Email is held on the storage provided by MailChimp. We understand that these companies provide a secure storage system. Please refer to the information published by these companies for details on their security and encryption.

How do we secure personal data?
Please refer to the information published by the above companies regarding their encryption and security. We believe that they provide a secure storage solution. Our IT equipment is protected by a firewall and anti-virus software, which is regularly updated. We agree to take reasonable measures to protect your data in accordance with applicable laws and in accordance with our Terms and Conditions.

In the event of a data breach, we shall ensure that our obligations under applicable data protection laws are complied with.

How long do we keep your personal data for?

We will keep your data as long as you are a customer of Atahualpa Spanish School. Due to the nature of our work, whereby long periods of time may pass between jobs, we retain customer records until such a time as they request that they are no longer a customer.

If you request to be removed from our database and no longer wish to be a customer, we will delete all electronic and destroy all hard-copy personal data that we hold about you. There may be circumstances in which we cannot delete data, for example, when we are required to keep it for legal reasons.
